The World Online Piping & Drumming Championships Continue with Summer 2022 Registrations Open

Seattle, Wash., June 13, 2022. BagpipeLessons.com is pleased to announce upcoming dates for our Summer online piping and drumming competition of 2022, with a Fall competition to follow. Providing extensive top-level judging and a welcoming and competitive environment, BagpipeLessons.com’s competition is the largest and top-ranked online piping competition available.

As in-person competitions return, the World Online Piping & Drumming Championships remain a popular option for competitors of all levels from around the globe who want a flexible competition experience and valuable feedback from a selection of highly experienced judges.

New in 2022 is a multi-competition title, the BagpipeLessons.com 2022 World Online Piping & Drumming Championships Grand Champion, which will be given to the piper or drummer in each category with most points overall throughout all three seasons. This summer competition will also once again include two scholarship opportunities for outstanding pipers: the Colin MacKenzie Memorial Piobaireachd Challenge for pipers 18 and under and the Alasdair Gilles Memorial Challenge 2/4 March for pipers in all age groups. Introduced in 2011, the World Online Piping & Drumming Championships cultivates a growing global piping and drumming community and provides the valuable experience of competition for everyone from accomplished competitive professionals to beginners and those not yet involved in a piping association or pipe band community. This style of competition promotes better musicianship for both regular performers and for those who may rarely have the chance to measure their skills against others in a broader setting. The World Online Piping & Drumming Championships is the only online competition to offer total public access to the complete results, including every competitor’s video, placement and judge’s comments. This distinctive judging commentary and wide offering of event choices (80+) have allowed the World Online Piping & Drumming Championships to thrive in the online piping and drumming realm. More information can be found at BagpipeLessons.com/competition.

Competitor registration deadline is August 1, 2022.
