The Open/Pro Grade Piping and Side Drumming events were made possible through the generous support of the Midwest Highland Arts Fund (MHAF) and the Piper’s Metronome™.  Additional prize money was added through the support of R.G. Hardie & Co.

Midwest Highland Arts Fund’s annual Winter Storm event is one of biggest and best piping and drumming events in the world which features superbly-run competitions, extensive workshops, and an incredible concert.

The Piper's Metronome is the new metronome app for pipers (and drummers) available for both Apple and Android phones. It is a totally intuitive metronome and packed with powerful tools built for all styles of bagpipe music. It's designed specifically for the ways pipers and drummers play. The pre-programmed and customizable settings make it easy to learn and master the expression of your tunes. You can build, save and share custom sets.

Due to the large and strong entry in the Open/Pro Piping Category we felt it was appropriate to increase the prize money and number of prizes.  These additional prizes were made possible by the generous support of R.G. Hardie & Co.  —  a premium-quality bagpipe maker based in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland. R. G. Hardie & Co. has a worldwide reputation for quality, innovation and crafting instruments played at the highest level of competition.
